Kids’ Fun Race, Presented by MEC
The Kokanee Edmonton Canada Cup is excited to once again offer, the Kids’ Fun Race! And this year, it’s going to be even better because it’s being presented by ouf friends at MEC!
Started two years ago in partnership with the ABA, it has been a highlight event, offering kids a chance to meet professional racers, and have fun in a safe race environment. This year, Canadian cycling legend, Alex Stieda, the first North American to ever wear the Yellow Jersey in the Tour de France, will be our guest Kids’ Fun Race Marshal!
This race is FREE TO ENTER, for kids between the ages of 6 – 12. We will be offering 3 categories this year to ensure kids of any skill-level can take part in the fun:
Group A – will do 1 lap of the kids’ course
Group B – will do 2 laps
Group C – will do 3 laps
We hope to see you and your family on race day – Saturday, July 23rd, 2011. No Registration of Sign-In. Just come on down. Kids’ Fun Race will start at 12:10pm. All kids will need to have their own bike, and have a properly fitted bike helmet. If you have any questions, please contact us at mike@edmontoncanadacup.com.
